At SuperTaxi (“we”, “us”, or “our”), we take your personal privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines how our mobile applications and website collect, store, process, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name, email address, mobile phone number, profile photo, and password.
- Geospatial & GPS Data: Precise live GPS location data collected from passengers during ride requests and continuously from active drivers in the foreground and background to calculate fares and enable live tracking.
- Trip & Delivery History: Pickup addresses, multi-stop destination coordinates, date/time timestamps, distance traveled, and driver notes.
- Voice Audio Recordings: When using Tamil Voice Ordering, spoken voice clips are streamed to secure speech-to-text processing solely to extract item names and numbers, and are not stored for biometric profiling.
- Device & Telemetry Data: IP address, device model, operating system version, push notification tokens (FCM), and app crash telemetry.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To match passengers with nearby available drivers in real time.
- To calculate accurate road distance, travel time, and trip fare breakdowns.
- To provide live turn-by-turn route tracking to senders and recipients.
- To prevent fraudulent bookings through 4-digit trip security verification codes (OTP).
- To generate and email official GST tax invoices and payment receipts.
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We share information only with:
- Drivers & Couriers: Customer pickup location, first name, and phone contact strictly during an active trip.
- Payment Gateways: Encrypted transaction data sent to Razorpay, Stripe, or M-Pesa to securely process digital settlements.
- Legal & Emergency Authorities: Location and identity records provided strictly under valid court orders, police investigations, or SOS emergency incidents.
4. Data Security & Storage
We enforce industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS 256-bit in-transit encryption, hardware-salted mobile token vaults, and restricted Cloud Firestore security rules. Your financial payment cards are tokenized and processed through PCI-DSS compliant providers.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your account data at any time directly through the mobile application profile settings or by contacting our Data Protection Officer at privacy@supertaxi.com.
